Remaining 2010 Ports of Call

We have really enjoyed our time in French Polynesia. Unfortunately cyclone season is coming and we have a lot of tourism left to do, so we're having to adjust the schedule. They say that cruising plans are written in the sand at low tide, but here is what we think we are doing:

Suvarov

Suvarov is a national park/atoll in the Cook Islands. We should arrive there about August 12th and will stay about a week.

Samoa

We expect to arrive in Samoa before the end of August and will stay about a month. (please note that we are no longer planning a stop in American Samoa)

Tonga

We expect to arrive in Tonga in late September. We plan to visit all four island groups over the course of 6 or 7 weeks.

New Zealand

We expect to take the first weather window in November for the 1100 mile trip to New Zealand, where we should arrive about mid month. Opua is likely as our first port. We will work our way south. We will be in New Zealand at least until April 2011.

  1. Safe and happy travels to you two. We are enjoying our first Oregon summer in a decade, and the first ever where we weren't both working. Mountain hiking, river kayaking, and lots of outdoor painting. We are gradually hatching a plan to take off on Indigo again next summer.

    Best,
    Mac and Catherine

    bon voyage

i worry a little less hearing about the 16 year old girl that sort of circumnavigated the globe and the 14 year old girl starting out to circumnavigate the globe by sailboat.
