Hanging out on the water

Sometimes sailing is pretty laid back. A couple of weekends ago we had Marc back with the promise of actual sailing this time. And we did get away from the dock, and headed out to Port Browning.

We had good sailing out, with lighter winds toward the end of the day where we got to test out the gennaker again. The return leg was even more light, with a lot of hanging out and not a lot of action. We did get to see some porpoises as we slowly drifted backwards for an hour while trying to round Pender Island.

All in all, a nice, calm way to spend a weekend.
