False Bay
Before we got to Comox, we had anchored in False Bay, on Lasqueti Island. It was a very rolly anchorage for us; we think Qualicum winds were blowing overnight and funneling into False Bay. We spent a disturbed night there, buy were still up for a dinghy ride into "town" the next morning.
The village of Lasqueti is small and unique. The island is off grid, meaning there are no major utilities. However, we saw surprisingly few solar panel and wind generators. Maybe they are all hidden.
We went for a brief walk up the road and enjoyed the rainforest feel. After heading back toward the wharf, we stopped at the seaside store for coffee and fresh baked muffins. We picked up a loaf of bread for the boat and headed back to Scream.
