Copra Shed Marina
The Copra Shed is the largest and best known of Savusavu's three marinas. We picked it more or less by accident.
They have a couple dozen moorings. There is room for three boats to stern tie and one to tie alongside. Mooring fees (as of 2011) are F$10 per night, or F$63 per week. There are two dinghy docks, free showers, and potable water. They assisted with our entry to Fiji and obtained our cruising permit, all for F$10.
The Copra Shed has a large building split into a mini-mall of sorts. The Savusavu yacht club is located on site, and has a bar with satellite TV. There are two restaurants, two travel agents, a chandlery, an internet provider, and a souvenir shop all in the building. They also rent rooms.
The Copra Shed can be contacted at +679 885 0457, 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 1pm Saturday (all NZT, UTC +12). Their address is coprashed <at> connect.com.fj or Box 262, Savusavu, Fiji.
Savusavu is a small town. It has a market, three medium-sized groceries, a dozen smaller groceries, a half-dozen hardware stores, three banks, two bakeries, a couple internet places, and at least a dozen restaurants. We ate at several and were quite pleased with the value.

no free bays left any more to drop anchor in i guess like in the good old days
