		<description>I guess that I was not clear.  The batteries were in the radio when it was baked.  I took the radio out of the oven, cooled it for twenty minutes, then tested it and it still transmits and receives properly.  I did not change the batteries or anything, it just keeps on working.  

The more observant readers will also notice the word accidentally immediately before baked.  The radio was in the oven to limit damage in case of a lightning strike, and I forgot to remove it when I preheated the oven for banana bread.</description>
